Default 96 caravan 3.0 engine trouble

I can start the van and it will idle fine, but when I start to push the gas pedal down, it starts to miss and run ruff and then stalls out. I try to start it again and it runs ruff and stalls out. I start it again and it runs fine till I start to push on the gas pedal. I replaced the fuel pump about a year ago and I can hear it working. The gas tank has plenty of fuel. What could it be?

Welcome to DF
I know you have a 3.0L. But what type of transmission is in the van? The rough running could be almost any thing.EGR valve or tube, MAP sensor or even a crank sensor. I see the problem starts when using the gas pedal. You may want to look at the throttle linkage and see whats going on there.

Default 96 caravan ehgine trouble

Thanks for the advise. I went out this morning and plugged the auto scanner in and started the engine. It is running fine now... as usual. I did get a code. P0108 Looked it up and it said something about too high voltage? Only code on there. I ran the engine for about 30 minutes, pushing the gas pedal a number of time, up to 2000 rpm's. It ran fine and didn't act up. I don't know if I should take the chance and drive it to work and back because if it does it again, it will be a healthy tow bill to get it back home. What do you advise to do next? Thanks you for the advise.

p0108 is related to the MAP sensor

as MT said earlier MAP can cause the symptoms you described
may I suggest a AAA membership as your cars not new anymore and you'd get a certain number of tows a year
