Default Caravan is stalling out

I have a 2001 Caravan that is stalling out. Can stall at any speed or at
idle. Will not always start back up right away, may have to wait couple of
minutes. Vehicle may go several days without happening. When it does
happen, will happen several times within a few minutes. Has set the SES light only once, had two codes. One for the crankshaft position sensor, one for a loss of PCM signal to the crankshaft. The crankshaft position sensor was replaced but has not resolved the issue. I had a Dodge service dept technician look at it and his thoughts are that the flexplate is the problem. They want to tear the trans and look. I would think the problem would be more frequent if that were the case. Any thoughts out there or experiences with this issue? Thank you

Welcome to DF
You could have a problem with the flex plate or the wires around the reservoir is has oil inside the harness, causing some of the wires to short out.
