Default Any suggestions??

I have a 1997 Dodge Caravan. Recently it has started having an issue that when I am going up a hill it starts acting like Im driving a standard. Its as if I was driving in 4th or 5th and need to gear down. If I step on the gas and pick up a little speed it stops and is fine. Any ideas what it could be? Ive had one person suggest it could be the O2 sensor and another said the fuel pump

Welcome to DF
You could be feeling the torque converter in lock up. Did the ck engine lite come on at anytime?

gotta get the codes. you should be able to get most with the key test. off-run-off-run-off-run and then count the blinks of the check engine light. they will come in groups of flashes, and then you'll pair then in to groups of 2 digits. have a pen handy.

x2.

but if you're doing it right, it should blink an "all clear" message. try closing the door if it was open.
