Default 2003 Caravan Heater Stuck on high

My mother in-laws heater is stuck on the highest setting, even when turning the **** to a lower setting the heater still remains on high or even shut off. I did some searching on the forum and couldnt quite duplicate the same problem from other owners. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to DF
Do you mean the temp setting or the blower speed setting.

Thanks, owned 2 Dodge Rams since 2006 and love them and stumbled across this site today and seems like a great place for help and information.

As for the Caravan it is the the blower setting, you can adjust the temp but the blower stays on the highest setting and can not be adjusted by turning the dial.

Go under the dash, behind the glove box and unplug the blower fan resistor. And inspect for any overheating on the connector. If the connector looks good, then replace the resistor.

Sorry for the long wait on replying. I did change the resistor out and it worked great. Bad news is my mother in law traded in the van 2 days later and bought a kia...go figure. Thanks for the help.
