Transmission slipping P0700 P0732
I Have a 2000 Caravan 3.0L and the transmission is slipping. I press the gas pedal in Drive and doesn't move. I can reverse fine. Once I get it going it shifts fine into 2nd and 3rd, etc.
Did a scan and these codes came up:
P0732 Gear 2 Incorrect Ratio
P0700 Transmission Control System Malfunction
Questions:
1. Is this the accumulator problem (re: 2002 4 speed transmission issue from prior post)?
2. Is it a clutch problem? Rebuild necessary?
Thoughts?
There's only 184K km on the transmission.

On the pressure ports just above the pan rail the first one ( from left to right)is for the Underdrive clutch set and the far right one is for the low/reverse circuit.....Check pressure in both circuits in drive position and you will find out what circuit the problem is in....if pressures are low or zero, then accumulator can be a possible cause....if pressure is ok ( 100 psi or so) then hydraulics are ok , problem must be mechanical in underdrive or low/reverse clutch circuit.....may be easier to just remove oil pan, if debri is found, then no use going further, its time to repair or replace, if clean well perhaps further diagnostics to isolate the problem may lead to a less expensive repair...
