Default one down one to go

got the tranny rebuilt...so now i can drive it again...now my 97 GC we found out that the power steering pressure hose connection on the rack and pinion is stripped and i was told you cant re-tap those....so now i need a new rack and pinion...anyone do this, is it hard to do on my own?

i was thinking...would it be as easy as droppin the rear sub frame to gain access to it?

How does one go about stripping threads on the high pressure fitting? Once you strip threads, there's no way to tap the hole to make new threads because when you strip the threads, you take metal away so there's nothing left the thread. You'll probably end up replacing the rack.
