Ok guys have a 09 grand caravan with a slider almost shutting then auto revereses. We have had this problem at 3,000 miles and 2 dealerships after a bunch of computer flashes and door cables now still having problem. And dealer says it's fixed. Nope.

Something binding in the door mechanism masking an autoreverse situation? Door is misaligned? Google this tsb TSB 08-011-08. Doesn't appear to apply to your van but sure sounds like this problem isn't new to Chrysler.

have you get the Power Sliding door recall done yet?
Also, does the door bind when you close it Manually? and does it happen on only 1 door or both door?

Default power slider.

yes had recall done on door and it seems as though that is what triggered it again. They say no way cause it was just zip ties to hold wires. Right now just passenger side. On level surface. I'll check manual ops as when this starts I get so mad I just grab and throw it. My 06 never had a problem.

Hi Ohio Dodge. Had same problem on my caravan. I searched and found the following cite below (video demo). I did it and still working after two months. I didn't even use a connector for the end wires, just electric tape. Hope this helps.

Yes, it can trigger it. Other than the Zip tie, they also have to install a Tab by the Hinge. Sometimes these Hinge flies back out if not installed correctly.
Also, You have to remove the weather strip to tie up the wire. Sometimes the weather strip flex back out if it isn't tuck in correctly and binds the door rail.
Just bring it back in when u have time, i got a feeling it will be something stupid.

nice video, wrong year. Alot of the doors are out of adjustment and are hitting the weatherstrip in the b-pillar area when closing. doesn't take much contact to make them reverse.
