called before lunch time and spoke with the mechanic working on my van to inquire about its status and see if it would possibly be ready TODAY since I brought it back in yesterday morning at 8am. He said he ordered the part yesterday and it SHOULD be on their truck this afternoon around 3 for delivery and he will try to get it put on and ready to go by the end of the day if it all goes well. Seems to me after 10 days and having my money..they should have DRIVEN personally to go get that part! If its not ready today..I dont' know what I going to do because my blood pressure is beginning to boil over this.

LOL no sh*t! No surprise...no van. The owner called me about 4pm and said that the part didn't come in so he reordered it from another vendor and it should arrive tomorrow morning. I asked him what was he going to charge me now and he said that if I would pay for the part, he would eat it on the labor. :/

If he's going to make u pay for the parts, and the Van won't be ready tomorrow, tell him "tell me what i need, I will pick up the part from the Dealership myself for it, get my van done immediately!" these Governors are common failure, some dealership carries it, and at most it only takes 1 day to get. Give ur local dealership a call, even ask "any other closer dealership have this part?"
your local dealership parts dept usually do Shipping to shops too, you can pay for it, ask them to ship to ur trans shop, so they have no excuse. And try to make the Shop's owner call the dealership, so he won't have excuse like "u brought me the wrong part"

I think he's full of **** about the parts because he didn't want to get to it. Because he won't get pay from now on. If you don't give them pressure, your van will sit there for another 10 days, and there is nothing u can do about it.

Time for a lawyer. You paid for a rebuilt transmission, you did not get what you paid for.

Well....got it back this evening after they closed! They didn't get the part in till almost 4 and stayed till after they closed to get it back to me. AND...they didn't charge me for the part or the labor. So far its running good!

hmmmm.....new problem now??? they were closed when we picked up the van yesterday. It ran fine for me last night...but this morning we took off in it...and it is very sluggish in take off. Even for my 4cyl...I almost have to FLOOR the gas pedal in order for it to even start moving forward. Once its going, its fine. But stop at another red light or stop sign...and I feel like I need to get out and PUSH IT to make it accelerate. Ideas? Guess its going BACK again on Monday. I'm about fed up with this damn van.

Transmission isn't down shifting? Sounds like the Governer still. when it does this, try putting shifter in 1st position and see if that helps take off, once your moving, put it into 2 then D.

Yup, sounds like your car is stuck on 2nd gear. I afraid you'll have to take it back to them and do it all over again...
