Correct alignment of windshield wiper motor
Due to the way my 97 3.0's wiper motor locked up when it died, I have been unable to find the correct alignment of the linkage onto the motor. Anyone got a picture, or a good method for determining placement? I did mark it and put it back exactly as it was when it froze up, and that was horribly wrong
I messed with it for hours the other evening, and finally got it to where I can run the drivers side, and it comes about 3/4 the way up. Good enough to get me through this current rain system. For now, the passenger side wiper arm is on the back floorboard lol. Somebody help!

I did. Repeatedly. It does not work properly that way. In the linkage, there is an arm that attaches to the motor in just a certain way, I need to know the proper alignment of the linkage before the wiper arms can go on and work properly.
You got your linkage articulated wrong. I personally did this once myself a long time ago. Very frustrating i'm sure. The only thing I can suggest is maybe go to a junkyard or something and take a pic of the linkage in park position. Then you'll see which side is out of whack...if not both sides.

Ok, thanks. I just realized my other other thread about my ex's van probably holds my answer. Linkage should all be the same in a 97 Cvan and 97 T&C. So while I'm checking his fan, I'll take off the wiper cover and take a pic.
