Cool Generation 2 VS 2011 models

Not that I'll get one for another 10 years or so, but how do the new models of Grand Caravan compare to the Generation 2 models?

I have a 1992 Chrysler Town and Country with all the fancy gadgets, and a basic 1995 Grand Caravan. I really like the layouts of my current vans, and the trip computer, storage compartments, and dash in my T&C. Both run fairly well. They handle very well is all weather conditions, despite having the turning radius of a small town. With the Grand Caravan, I can get 24ish miles per gallon. I can usually got about 360 miles before having to fill up again. My T&C usually about 330 before the light comes on.

I've briefly driven a Generation 3 Grand Caravan (might have been 1998) and didn't like it at all. It felt cheaply made, and didn't seem to have the same comfort level as the older vans. I also didn't care for the overall shapes of the exterior and interior.

I've seen the 2011 models online, and they actually look quite nice, specifically the Grand Caravan Mainstreet and Grand Caravan Crew (the R/T is pretty sweet too, but for me that just might be overkill). Just curious as to how those compare in driveability, comfort, and gadgetry awesomeness to the older versions.

2011 are pretty sweet, much more comfortable (I think) than the '08 - '10 on the interior and probably the best ride of any of the vans. Otherwise I like the '01 - '07 body style....'03 and '04 seem to be the better years.

We did have a lot of problems with the AS body 1991 thru 1995, If it wasn't the bendex 10 brake system and the RFI feedback into the engine harness that mess with the transmission. And the tunnel cracks on the floor board.Crankshaft walking on the 3.3 and 3.8 engines. The NS body were a little bit better 1996 thru 2000. I agree that the 2001 thru 2007 were even better and 2008-2010 were okay, But I like the 2011 with the new pentastar engine. There hasn't been any problems yet.
