Unhappy Factory GPS

We have a 2008 Grand Caravan with factory Nav system with sirus and DVD. Our Nav system has never worked properly since day one. We have had software updates, new system put in and still dosn't work properly. The new Nav systems in the 2011 Chrysler models work great. My question is can we put the new garmin software into the 2008 Nav systems. The only diffence I can see between the 2 syetems is the nav bottem on the 08 modles was replace with my files bottem 2011 modles, other than that both sytems look the same. please help we just want our Nav system to work properly.

no not the same as i can tell. hardware changed a bit in both units. even connections. i beleive rer has the 2 antena vs 1 on the rhb. for software i not sure if they 100% interchangable cause still too new to tell and now one has actually tried this. what is your issue first of all. why you say that it never worked from day one? RER actually what i been told is a good unit. RHB just got a bit of upgrades in options but people complaining about screen resolution issues. + garmin looks cheap on this unit for there interface in my opinion.

check out the site i listed.
nav you need to buy the disk from nav-teq or dealer 200.00. it is programmed somehow to your vin so basically no one that i know of has been able to share copies. well cloning a hd can be done but i have not done it myself yet. plan to go to a 80gb when i can.

for the other updates mostly done thru dvd.
