Default 03 SE Left Rear Brake Hose/Tube

While replacing my rear drums due to a failed wheel cylinder I managed to break off the connecting tube to said cylinder. Must remember to use liberal amounts of PB40 next time.

Anyways after soaking the other end I managed to get the piece of and will be replacing it tonight.

My question is after I put everything back together and bleed the brakes. Do I also have to bleed the front brakes?

Thanks.

Just noticed the bends dont line up perfectly. I was wondering if you can bend by hand the part of the tube that is wrapped in spring?

Thanks.

You should be able too. Did you bleed the front brakes too?

Haven't bled the front yet, wanted to put on the hose first before I head off to work. So far I have removed the old drums, shoes and wheel cylinders. Installed new cylinders and in doing so messed up that left brake tube.

Looking at the old one I noticed I will have to bend and twist down a bit to match. I hope it works. If not will head out to dealer and buy it directly.

Thanks.

Just finished up and need to bleed the system. Since the way the van is parked in my garage I cannot access the front wheels easily, I was wondering if i could just bleed the rear brakes, move the van out of the garage and drive it to the local shop for a flush?

Thanks.

fortunatley for you since the late sixties we have split brake systems

PROVIDING the master never ran dry and you have not opened the front system you will not need to bleed them.(fronts that is)
this being said I always like to bleed all four corners whenever i crack open either front or the rear brake systems
it keeps the bleeders free for the next time and just lets me sleep a lil better at nite
