Default Light stays on?

Have a weird problem. Looked outside and noticed the drivers side running light/ turn signal light was on solid. The van was not running and no Key was in the ignition. This light will not go off ever! When the left turn signal is used the dash blinker flashes fast like a bulb is burnt out, but none are, the front stays solid and the back flashes. I replaced all of the bulbs to no avail. I have no idea what to do or where to look now, al I could do was pull the bulb so my battery wouldn't die. It's a 2001 caravan by the way, ANY help would be much appreciated!

Have you tried to unplug the headlamp switch? The other problem sounds like a bad flasher.

Yup, the "flasher" is in the BCM. Chrysler did us all a big favor by changing it from a $30 flasher to a $300+ box. The "fast flashing" sure sounds like a bad bulb or corroded socket problem but if all looks good you could try these. The headlight switch could be one culprit. The Body Control Module (BCM), Front Control Module (FCM), and Integrated Power Module (IPM - fuse box) also all play a role in controlling the light. First, you could try pulling the IOD fuse for 2-3 minutes to reset the BCM and data bus. One trouble spot for exterior lighting is the FCM to IPM connection. The FCM is the silver box mounted on the front of the IPM. First, disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the 4 bolts securing the FCM to the IPM and remove it. Inspect the contacts for corrosion or any damage. Clean using electrical contact cleaner and a small brush if needed. The flat blade contacts are infamous for making poor contact. Try twisting them ever so slightly to correct. Reinstall then connect the battery. The IPM connections are another trouble spot. Do the same with the battery then the IPM connections on the bottom.
