Just picked up a new GC and already looking to make a change. It came with the Premium console but I am looking to put in a Super Console as I like the look and functionality better.

Any DIY'ers out there that have done something like this? I'm not sure if the console bolts would work or if I need extra dash components. I'm driving the 2011 Crew.

Problem was couldn't find one with all the options and a super console.

 

What's a super console? I only know of the base and premium versions.

 

Sorry, I found it. Looks like the base and premium are removable but the super isn't. It also appears to have extra wiring for the cup holder illumination and maybe other things. It's usually not cheap, I know it's over $1000 to go from base to premium.

 

yeah... I was looking at buying parts and doing it myself... I just don't want to invest if it can't be done as it looks like the dash has to be changed as well.

 

I don't think there is any dash issues, just a huge cost for parts.

 

I just purchased a complete super console from ebay for 265 to my door I will post pictures and detail install after i receive and install the console. My van has the base console it.

 

whats the super console? never heard of that? post pics or ebay listing?

 

Got this puppy straight off the Official Dodge WebSite: Storage - The available integrated center console with roll-top covers is part of the Grand Caravan's new super console. It contains a pass-through storage area with easy driver and passenger access for large items including small umbrella or purses. It also features ambient lighting on trim-rings and the pass-through area for ease of entry in low lighting conditions.

 

Is this new center console removeable. It is important to me to have this space open on occassion.

 

No I installed mine I love it it bolts to the floor and screws to the dash so yes removable but not in a timely fashion.
