torque converter replacment

Default torque converter replacment

I have a small studder at constant speed,,,, think it is the torque converter,,,,going to change fluid and filter tomorrow,,, a friend told me that if I replace the Torque converter, that was just a bandaid, and the trans was going to die anyway,,, is this true. what should I do,,

Default Torque converter Lockup Relay ???

Hi , Unplug the torque converter lock up relay an test drive . Bud----- Sorry I guess I was having a serior moment it's the torque converter lock up relay . Good luck !! Bud

Default what relay

thanks,,, I have done a basic tune up ,,plugs, wires, what relay are you talking about,,,, thanks again

Change the fluid...wait a few days then change it again. If it still persist then yeah MAYBE it a TC or valve body issue. If you have high mileage I would just go fo the trans OH
