like I said, lots of changes from '96 to '97. Here is a '96 switch diagram. the dimming module runs the led in the switch.

So from that diagram one wire goes to the Juntion Box so I assume it's a power wore? The other is a sensor wire going to the brakes and the other goes to the buttons? Correct? Can you get me the wire colors? I got pink with purple tracer not really sure where it goes I ran it to the brakes , light blue with red tracer going clock spring and a yellow with orange tracer also did not knownwhere it went as it went up in the dash of the other van. I hooked it also up to the brakes

The light blue with red tracer wire a the module comes from the cruise switches. The pink with the light blue wire comes from the control side of the park lamp relay. The yellow with red tracer comes from the 12v feed side of the brake lamp switch.

Ok where is the control side of the park lamp relay? And what does it do? I mean why do they have a wire running there?

do you get the diagrams? The park lamp relay is in the Junction block. It's the fuse block inside the car. It probably controls the intensity of the led on the switch. It's probably brighter with the lights off and dimmer with the lights on.

then check for codes, turn the key on / off / on / off and on. It should display a number code in the odometer.

well, now you need to hook up a scan tool and see if the PCM is seeing the switch inputs correctly, see if it can actuate both of the solinoids, etc. Not much more you can do without one.
