I have a 1996 dodge caravan.I have been having a loud noise coming from the drivers side. I think it is my trans-axle but I am not seeing anything wrong. There is a slight woble in the steering wheel that was not there before.

 

The noise could be either the sway bar bushing or strut link. Also ck the axle nuts on the axle shafts too.

 

- Clunking when you go over bumps suspect sway bar bushings or links.
- Whirring or roaring (which increases in pitch or volume with increased speed) while driving on smooth surface suspect hub or axle bearing.
- clicking or clacking when turning a corner suspect CV joint.
