Default Hello All

Hi, I am Artie from Montreal Canada, I just purchased a second hand Grand Caravan 2003.

I have a question, I started to look around and under the hood I noticed a hose disconnected, and a couple of clamps not locked in place, this is running from the 2 black pipes that are mounted on the firewall. I have taken a few pictures after trying to reconnect the hose. but its something doesnt fit right there!!

Any idea?

Welcome to DF
Looks like someone had a coolant leak from a heater core and try to by pass it. And forgot to put the claps back on right. Did you check for any coolant leaks?

the coolant level is good! there are 2 pipes with 2 outlets on each, one of them is not even connected! this is a better picture of it. and I tried to connect the loose hose but it doesn't seem to fit there.
thanks for your help so far!

Looks like they are bypassing the rear heater lines. They are known to rot through right below the passenger floor board where they attach

Default new development... hand brake

I took the van in for an inspection and found that they ran completely new lines for the heating system under the van, so that problem is solved. I have 2 issues to clear up now, a small rust patch, which I have already started to fix and they also said the hand brake is not tight enough... it has 4 wheel disc brakes, is it easy to adjust them?

yep, there is a plug in the backing plate you remove and then a star wheel to adjust.
