There is no replaceable fuel filter on your van. It is part of the fuel pump

like everything else killing the backyard mechanics. now needs all these high $$$ scanners and parts are intergrated so failure they say you need everything but a part that cost 5.00$ ends to be in the 100.$ im still woundering if it possible to retrofit a filter in.

Why did they do that? I have zero experience on 5th generation vans but if the fuel filters are like previous models they are designed to last the life of the van. They are bigger than many and have a higher capacity. There's no scheduled change. At 210K miles my 96 GC still has the original filter and runs like a top. I've worked on several others over the years and never changed a filter. Only reason to change one in my book is if the van has over 150K and the pump dies. It appears on the 5th gens they have eliminated the guess work.

It is possible, you can use those Fuel Line repair Kit and retrofit an inline filter with quick disconnect. But it isn't necessary. Like mentioned, the larger in pump filter will last longer than the pump anyway. Every manufacturers are doing this.
Just look at our newer Key Fobik, most of the time the Battery last longer than the fobik itself, sadly.

manufacturers use intergrated parts to save Build cost. try to do a Window on a Caliber/compass/patriot, pain in the *** because the door panel, door latch, window regulators, and wires are all in one piece and remove as assembly.
or try replace anything INSIDE(such as the window glass or door latch) the sliding door of ur minvan, it will take you half of a day.
