Hi devin
i have 15.000 k and yes at low speed we get it 90 percent of the time.
I am going to take it it in a few weeks and leave it there and see what
they are going to tell me. You should that yours to a different dealer
the love it when you tell them the one you use is no good. Well good luck.

I took my 2011 caravan in today for them to check the shifting out
and they hooked the computer up, they said that part was ok so he did
something manualy with it and now it works awesome. So we are off to
florida on friday for two weeks. I will let you know if it works till we get
back.

Damn you guys are starting to scare me.
I was looking to purchase a dodge caravan around next january but there appears to be a few serious problems. I hope it's mostly a minority speaking and that the problem isn't widespread. What troubles me is the ammount of time people have been told that "it's normal, that's how it's made"
-Transmission has a loud clunk between 1st and 2nd... that's normal
-Backing up in a slope causes jerkyness.. that's normal
I've had a 1994 Plymouth Grand Voyager LE that ate 4 transmissions in 9 years but I thought these problems were long gone.
I did hear a "clunk" sound in the transmission while testdriving a 2011 last week but I didn't pay much attention to it at the time.
I'll be monitoring these threads pretty closely in the next months as the Dodge Caravan was my #1 option.

Man oh man. I should have read these forums before I purchased my '11 Caravan last week with 30,000 kms. I don't seem to have the shudder problems but the odd time the van won't shift out of first gear. You have to pull over and shift to park, turn off the ignition, turn it back on and then shift back to drive and it will shift normally. Anyone else having this problem? The MIL light came on also just after I brought it home from the dealer but it seems to be running ok. I have always been a Ford man and had my reservations about buying a Dodge. Hope I don't regret it....
My 2011 grand caravan is back in service for the 4th time for the same transmission issue. Now they said they are replacing the bottom unit of the transmission after already doing a complete tranny overhaul. They rented me a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan that I noticed has the same bucking issues when in Economy Mode and shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. Today while I was driving it the heater went and is blowing cold air! I think fellow Dodge Grand Caravan Owners it is time for a class action law suit on these 2011 caravans with transmission issues before one of us gets rear ended because it isn't shifitng properly. I have been in touch with dodge resolution center and have left 5 messages with my case manager and he hasn't returned my calls. I will never by another one of these vans!!!!!!
