Had our 2011 Grand Caravan for 3 wks, 660 miles and was running fine. Then out of nowhere wouldn't lock with keyfob, or start and we were unable to get key out of ignition. After the joys of roadside assistance and a tow, we find out there was recently a "Service Announcement" to have a reprogramming update to the wireless ignition module done at the first trip to the dealer for service. Unhappy with our dealer for not fixing it before we left with it, as the dealer doing the fix says the announcement was out before then. Conflicting stories from 2 dealers on when the announcement was out and when and how it should be updated. Anyone know when the new software update came out. LOVE Van, especially with kids, but not looking good.

The first time the RRT 08-24 was release was in april of 2011, But there was a problem with the software and chrysler stopped the flash update. As of june 15,2011 the software update as been re-release under RRT 11-047. I hope this anwser your question.
