2000 Dodge Caravan Door Ajar Problem
I have read the other post on this issue, and it seems to be somewhat common. It just started today. I cleaned off the contacts on the sliding doors (which I'm sure are the problem), and check for any obstructions. No matter what it seems to be completely random. If the car is in reverse the light turns off. I put it in reverse, then drive, and finally park and it was off, but as soon as I let off the brake it comes back on. I got it to go off a few times, but then it randomly comes back on even without a key in the ignition or anyone in the vehicle. All I can do for now is turn off the dome light switch near the headlights. This will be a real problem when it comes to driving at night in bad conditions because of the glare from the lights.
