2001 Dodge Caravan - stalling? Engine hickup?
Hi there,
I have another question regarding my 2001 DC. In a past few weeks the engine has been acting strange. When starting in the morning the engine runs very erratically. the RMP goes up and down and when stepped on gas pedal around 4000 RPM sort of like dies and runs. This is noticed during the drive. I'm afraid like it will die any minute however when well wormed up it runs fine. The spark plugs are relatively new, wires too. I had recently replaced radiator and fuel neck due to EVAP problems. I'm not sure what to look next - EGR valve? The fuel filter has been replaced about 6 months ago. I have nolt changed the PVC valve since I own the van (6 years). I have also PCM issue (another post) - code P0601. Could dead PCM cause this sort of problem? I appreciate as always all suggestions.
Thanks

I am have the same problem with my 2003 SE. This is why I came to the site in the first place. I have no idea what is causing this, the van has a very bad hesitation at low RPM. When I go to take off the van shudders and hiccups. Once the van gets moving it runs fine until I stop again. This will go on for 10 miles or so and then the van will run fine.
Before the PCM failed the van ran the same way. I don't think the failure affected the running. With another failed PCM replacement I saw no difference. As I said once warmed up it can run like a charm for the rest of the day.
