noise behind front wheels
How do i check for cv boot or axle problem?
When turn, sometime sound like knocking most of the time just rusty grindy noise. Noise come from both parking and in locomotion.
How much do i expect to pay for parts and labor?
How much can I save to diy?

If the axle are clicking sound when turning, the most likely cause is the cv joints. You can check with your local parts house on prices. They are not that bad to replace. If you have a lift and an air compressor, it will take an hour to do both sides.
You really can't see a problem, If you have heard a bad drive axle before you know what the problem is. You could also have ball joints and strut links that could be bad too. You should have it checked out.
Well, here's the thing. I took it in and had an oil changed. I had them check what the noise was and said it was the sway bar. He said he greased/lubricated and should last for a while. To get it replaced aprx $500. Once I got into the vehicle, the noise still there. Not sure what he saw or his diagnosys was. Fortunately, it's incorrect. So far, I've gone to 2 places and wants $60 and $70 for diagnostic. I'll search around for cheaper estimate. Thanks for your help.
ps. I can try to replace the axle myself and see if any more thing I might encounter during disassemble. I believe it would still be cheaper.

Ok, I think I really need to take it in instead of fixing it myself. I had the time to look under and check all those rubber boots, they all looks good, no wear and tear.
I'll keep updating with actual issue.
