Does it have the 3.8L and 62TE transmission? Get it in and have the underdrive compounder bearing replaced. And you need to know if you still have warranty on it. Send me a pm with last 9 of the vin and mileage. And I'll let know what your powertrain warranty is.

We bought a 2008 a few months ago--4.0L and sometimes there is a jerk and slight clunk in the transmission when we first put it into gear and when it shifts from 1-2. Is this what we are talking about? I have about 60k on it now and do have an extended warranty.

I would have the transmission looked at and find out what the dealer has to say. The problem could be a valve body. But that is just a guess.

Hard to know if this is the same issue but if you have an extended warranty on it I would suggest letting the dealer take a look at it to make sure.
