Unhappy Help injector and wiring replaced still P0206

A little over a year ago I replaced injector #6 for a P0206 code on my 2001 3.8L. Injector seemed to be stuck open. Everything has been fine for over a year and 35000 km. 2 weeks ago suddenly began running rough and engine light on. P0206 again. This time though injector seemed not to be operating. Replaced the injector. Nothing changed. Swapped injector 5 and 6, no change. Checked continuity of wiring. No continuity on ground side, pin 14, but injector wiring itself is OK. Must be a broken wire in the main harness. Ran a wire directly from pin 14 to the injector. Now have continuity, but still running rough and still have P0206. Could the bad wiring have buggered up the PCM?

Thanks,

Rob

Hi Rob
The answer is yes it could, The PCM may have a bad driver for the injector. Is that the only code you are getting?

P0206 is the only code I am getting. Is there a way of checking the PCM? Would a reflash work?

You can try,but I think the problem is in the PCM.
