OK, went with Wagner all around. Even sprung for an extra $8 bucks and went ceramic. Woo-hoo. Van needs a paint job, but its brake pads will be styling. Turns out the local CAP had what I needed, at a substantial savings from what I would have had to pay out of town. Got it all in the garage ready to go for this weekend.

OK, got it all apart and cleaned up. I'm thinking the caliper is in OK shape, since the boot looks OK and the piston compresses easily. A bit worried about the guide pins, one shows some wear and the bottom one was stuck. It slides easily now that it's cleaned up. Anyway, if anybody has time to look at the photos I have up, it would be a help.

Also, I lacked an anti-rattle spring, which the manuel indicates I should have. Any thoughts on that?

Also, I think the short guide pin went into the bottom hole, but now am having concerns. Can anyone confirm that? Gonna do some quick research since, with everything cleaned up, the shorter guide pins slides easier in the top hole.

OK, now know the anti-rattle spring is only for Teves calipers and that the bottom guide pin is both the shorter pin and the one that doesn't slide as easily. If anyone knows different, please let me know.

Some kit have the new clips and some don't. Clean up the old ones and anti-size the clips.

Hey master tech, did you check out my photos? I'm curious about what you think about the caliper and the guide pins.

No, I wouldn't. I would clean out the holes for the pins and clean up the pin and use anti-size and slide the pins in before the caliper.

I guess you notice, I like using a lot of anti-size. LOL
