Hello everybody!
Today I gave a ride to my child to the soccer field. I waited for her 1hour until the practice was finished. I stayed in the car with the engine running at idle and AC turned on. The ambient temperature was above 100F. My question is what is more efficiently regarding fuel? Standing there or driving home and coming back later? To resolve that problem I don’t know what is the gas consumption at idle on Dodge Caravan 2,4L + AC.

how many miles to get home, if less then 5-10, then it probably will be worth driving home,
I know I idle 4x per day for 10-15mins each time, my mpg is only around 17,
if I just drive the same route I get around 20mpg, driving 90miles total
obviously your getting 0mpg when at idle, so it is hard to get an real facts
