Default 2011 Grand caravan rough idle normal?

I have a 2011 GC crew with 2200km on it. The van runs well, no hesitation when driving or accelerating, however when I am stopped at a red light and the engine is idling I notice an occasional shudder/vibration that I can feel through my seat. It happens in drive neutral and park and when you look at the engine while it is idling you can see the engine vibrate. I took it to my dealer to have it checked and was told that it is normal. He said that the fuel management system on the van in an attempt to conserve gas will lower the rpm's to the lowest point possible and as a results I get the shuddering/vibration. Does anyone have the same problem and does the dealer explanation make any sense.
Thanks

That is not normal. dealerships may say it is but in reality some of the techs are not trained enough, and if they see no codes, or no actual missfires they will say its normal when infact it isnt. The same issue started happening to mine. The problem seems to happen both at cold and when warm. I have not time to actually log mine but I will and will go to dodge and teach the local guys a little lesson on diagnosing this. Just from the looks if it it may be an issue with the variable valve timing but I wont say its a fact as I have not diagnosed my own van yet. I will see if I can log some ignition patters and vacuum patterns and post them with the actual missfire present.

One mans "normal" is another's "problem". Post a video.

I don't think Chrysler has built a car in the last 20 years that didn't do that, looking forward to the answer of the occasional misfire.

Mine does the exact same thing at idle, turning off echo mode helps a little. I bought mine off the lot and it only has 304 miles on it now. I drove two other 2011's and one 2012 and they all did this same behavior.

tell you what the 2010 mine also has that too. i think the dealer might be parcial right on this one. i caint say yours is cause im not there but here is what i can tell you on mine. i feel the same at idle. now try this. turn off the ac and turn the ac to the floor only. this is so it dont call for it. it gets better for me. no so bad and noticable. still there but have to be looking to feel it. idle dont move much on the rpm. i think its mostly around 600rpmsh might be little higher with the ac. i think its true on fuel economy cause they just running it off the min rpm as possible so any load like ac kicking in and out with make the vehicle shake/vibrate.

Ok so I tried without the ac or eco mode on this morning and I don't notice any improvement, still having the occasional stumble. If it isn't normal it sure seems like a common problem as per the other posts. I'm anxious to hear what gentz comes up with.

I took my 2011 crew in last week for the same problem. They said it was poor quality fuel (supplied by the dealership). I ran a whole tank of fresh 89 through it.. and the stumbling still exists. Its going back again.

I was also reading in the edmunds forum that people have been having the same stumbling issues with the 3.6's in their Town & Country's. A few of the people have been saying that they had the exhaust cam phasers replaced, and that solved the problem. They said the dealership is not likely to offer this suggestion, so you must really push to have this done. I am bringing mine in at the end of the week, to have that, and a multitude of other problems looked at.
