had lube and oil etc. changed Monday, Tuesday while I was driving, I noticed it shifted 2 times a lil funny but nothing major, then check engine light came on, took to a CAA garage and they found 2 codes
P0700 X2 (trans control circuit) and P1776 LR (solenoid stuck rear) - test drive showed shifting normally - they resect the codes and has not come back on yet. Mechanic says a tranny fluid and filter may fix it as it may have been a small bit of dirt that tripped the solenoid? Would that help? Really cannot afford to get into a re-build so hoping nothing serious?

any advice?

I had something similar happen a few years ago. Shut the van off and have never had the problem arise again. Could have been a bug in the computer and after shutdown it reset it didn't come back.

I would say drive it and if it doesn't come back, feel lucky.

 

Have you had the transmission service yet? It maybe the solenoid pack that got some debris in the screen and then move to where it started shifting again.
