I just stuck $1100 into this thing... now it's acting up again!! Put in a new alternator and new plugs & wires about 6 weeks ago, and had rear hoses fixed (rusted through).

Half a dozen times now it's killed when pulling out of a parking space - it just quits, check engine light comes on; once I put it back in park and re-start it, it drives fine. Rough idle when parked or stopped at a stoplight. Slight flicker of dash lights and headlights - I notice it when it's parked or stopped at a light but not while I'm driving. It's getting horrid gas mileage - about 14-15 mpg in town. It's not leaking any fluids from what I can tell.

Could this be alternator issues again? Or is it more likely that it's the computer? I'm about ready to trade the stupid thing in!!

I would first take a look at the wire harness on the rear cylinder head. 2002 and up 2005 the wires sometime melt together and cause a lot of problems.
