I have a 2009 Journey with 140,000 miles (original owner). I waited until August 2016 to have the R03 recall service completed. Unfortunately, that was the beginning of my problems. The car was running fine before the recall service. Now the car will occasionally NOT start. This has happened several times. Normally, after several minutes, it will eventually start. On the most recent occasion, I gave up and had to use a different vehicle to get to a meeting. I used my cell phone to record 2 instances of the car not starting while continually putting the key in the ignition and turning it.

The car has been back to the dealership 3 times. On the last trip, they supposedly contacted Chrysler engineers to see if they could diagnose the problem.

The dealer says that they are unable to replicate the problem and the Chrysler engineers were no help.

So what is my next step? Having a car that will randomly not start is unacceptable. And as I said, the car was running fine when I brought it to the dealer.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

They could have done the recall over again, if the WIN kit has an issue. Do it blindly just due to the coincidence. That would be my first step. We have the occasional dud.

Yep, they supposedly did switch out the WIN kit on my second trip back to the dealer. Did not correct the issue.
