Default ABS light on all the time

Hey there,
On my wife's 03 Caravan the ABS light is on all the time. The van's brakes seem to be working fine but I'm concerned that maybe the ABS isn't working correctly. I was wondering if a standard code reader can also read the ABS system? Reason I'm asking, besides I don't know is, a while back I had the system read because the check engine light was on and the reader said "left rear speed sensor". I had the codes cleared and the light came back on later. This time it said nothing about the sensor but I'm not sure if the guy using the reader knew what he was doing. I would really appreciate any help I can get.
Thanks

Most of the code readers can only read engine codes. You need to either find someone with a DRB3 or a scanner that can read all modules. Did you replace the left wheel sensor?

Not yet, I'm not real sure how to go about it. Can the process be done without taking the whole wheel apart?

Yes it can be replaced without removing the wheel.
