Default Air bag light stays on

I am getting a SRS 39 code when I check my codes in my 2002 Caravan 2.4l engine. My airbag light stays on all the time. I am trying to figure out what this could be. This all happened when I changed the Transmission out. It also made my check eng light come on. I had to replace the Computer in the van. I cant get the airbag light to go out? What could it be the problem? Any help would be Great.

Welcome to DF
The information from my books don't show a code 39 for the SRS system, You may need a scanner to read the code and post. I know the DRB3 doesn't show codes, just what code means.

If it happened after you put the PCM in the vehicle, you probably have a VIN mismatch issue. Alot of modules store the vehicle's vin and if they don't match, the light comes on.

It shows the SRS code 39 even before I changed the PCM. The Vin# is correct in the PCM. Is there a dodge DRB3 book of codes that I can look up?

Is there any sensors on the front bumper area? I have swapped out the Clock spring before I changed the PCM didn't change anything.

Info on the net is slim to none on a code 39 but I did find this. According to this a code 39 flags a problem with the driver's seat belt tensioner. It's a bit cryptic but the info is there: http://www.justanswer.com/dodge/62un...dge-grand.html
