1996 Caravan - Hissing sound w/overheating
Hey all, I did a search but couldn't really find a post that was similar to mine, so here goes.
This morning I was driving down the freeway when suddenly the temp guage shot all the way up and the temp light started blaring. I got off the freeway and shut the engine off before any damage occurred. When I popped the hood I immediately noticed a hissing noise, but I couldn't pinpoint its origin. I can say that it seems to be coming from the driver's side, but down too low for me to find it. I posted a short video with the camera pointed towards the hissing sound, so I'm hoping it might help you guys ascertain where it's coming from.
By the way, the resevoir was empty, yet it was full at least a week and a half ago. After filling the resevoir up with water, I was able to get home. I even ran the A/C on the way home, and the temp guage stayed where it normally is. However, when I got home I could still hear that hissing sound.
Any ideas?

while the engine is running you should see where the leak is coming from
( obviously do not stick your head or hands anywhere near the area while the engine is idling- this is just to get it to leak so you can see where it's coming from.)
