Blowing hot air may not have anything to do with the hvac controls. Is there Freon in the system? If so, does the compressor engage?

 

Also, if the light continued to flash, something in the calibration failed and set a code. the code can only be viewed with a scan tool. The manual say's the light will stop flashing after 8 miles of driving but if I remember right, that is every drive cycle.

 

Would that be an OBD2 scan tool or a special reader?
