Question Recommended coolant flush for 2008 Grand Caravan v6?

What is the recommended coolant flush for a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan v6? Mine currently has 53,000 miles on it and is at the dealer because the "y" connector was leaking coolant. I was told since the coolant system has a leak in it, I needed to have it flushed as well (at 109.00 for the flush plus the 100.00 deductible (extended warranty) for the "y" part that was leaking). I read the recommended coolant for it was a 100,000mile/5 year HOAT coolant. The service rep told me they usually recommend changing it anyway at 60,000. Am I being sold a service flush I don't need yet because I am only at 53,000 miles at 3 years old age of van, or is there validity in doing a flush since the "y" connector was leaking fluid (that "contaminated" the system?) Thanks for any input.

I like to drain and fill my cooling system every 30k, But that is me. Have you looked at the owners manual and see when it is recommend to do a coolant flush.

That's what really bothers me, my owner's manual says to flush/replace every
102,000 miles/60 months (5 years). The service rep at the dealer says they like to flush/replace at 60,000 miles. Who do I believe? Is there a consensus out there? (This is the newly redesigned minivan with a 3.8/6speed tranny). My manual says to replace the oil at 6,000 miles, but the service rep says they recommend oil changes at 3,000 miles. I wait until 6,000 miles, but with the oil usage high (like other owners are complaining about), I could see how 3,000 may be preferable (though the service rep doesn't use that as a reason). I would like to know how other pros/dodge diehards in the industry weigh in on opinions of coolant and oil interval changes.

I drain and fill my cars every 50-60k ish miles too. It will save your heater core in the future.
I am old school on oil change too, every 3k for regular oil, 5-6k for synthetic oil. it is a cheap insurance for your engine to last pass 200k miles mark.
6k oil change, 5yr/100k is more of a minimum Waranty requirement maintainence.

Here is what you can do. Take a poll and see how often members change the oil and filter and flush the cooling system. The owner manual is only what the factory recommends.
