Default '07 Grand Caravan Cold Start Engine Rattle.

When I start My Van there is always a engine rattle but after about 15-20 mins it goes away. Does anybody have any thoughts of what it could be?

First I can hear an exhuast leak, lifters, and maybe a piston slap on number 6 cylinder.

Thank you. Is it a serious issue? Would the engine light go on if there was any problems? I also get the same noise when going up hill.

Default 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi Cold Start Rattle

My 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi has a rattle on Cold Start. Quiets up in five seconds, but worries the heck out of me. Seemed to get worse over time. I read somewhere someone else fixed it by using Mopar 090 filter and heavier weight oil. Spec is 5W-20 oil. Seems way too thin, especially on eight year oil motor. So I put in 15W-40 here in California where it never gets too hot or too cold. Engine seems to like it, runs quiet and smooth now. Surprise, surprise, WALMART had MOPAR 090 oil filters in stock, only $8.
