Default 96 caravan 2.4l engine dies when cold

It all goes normally when the engine has warmed up. I live in a hot climate (32 C) so weather isnt an issue. I just bought this van any help on where to look first (spark or fuel) is much appreciated.

Welcome to DF
I would first find out if you have any stored codes. Then clean the throttle body and the AIS motor. The the engine dies only when cold?

Thank you for responding master tech. Im not familiar with obd 2 engines so I assume I need some kind of code reader? Is there a brand you can recommend thats not so pricey?

Cleaning the throttle body is something I can do though. The AIS motor where is this located?

Yes the engine dies only when cold. It dies immediately no hesitation just instantly dead. Starts up just fine and stays well behaved once warm.

Also the temp gauge isnt working. I got the Caravan a week ago used so please bear with me. The fans are on all the time.

Also it gets around 20mpg city would replacing the two o2 sensors help to improve this? Van has 61000 miles on it.
