Today I put on a new pan gasket & now all the gear indicator lights are selected & I'm stuck in 1st. I have a red wire that came loose from the TCM several months ago that caused an inability to advance gears. Jamming the wire back into the connector fixed it. Yesterday it came loose again. Today I removed the plastic cover from the wiring box & crimped the wire into place. I added 3.5 qts of fluid, turned the key to ON & saw the gear selector all lit up. I drove it for a short distance & nothing changed. All lit up & stuck in limp mode. Got a code 700 from turning key 3 times.


UPDATE: Disconnect/reconnect battery....fixed...so far.

 

Sometimes when you replace the pan gasket and fill the transmission, the transmission pump is trying to rotate air not fluid. Thats were the code loss of prime is stored into the TCM, until you start rotating fluid the transmission will go into limp in.
