The lucas heavy duty oil maybe okay in the early minivans, but the newer van. Because it will cause the check engine light on.

I have used the Synthetic Lucas in my vehicles for years on every oil change. In my Dakota the oil pressure improved from a hot idle 20 psi to 25 psi. And in my wife's Infiniti I30 all the upper end engine noise disappeared. I plan on putting it with synthetic oil in my Caravan when I get it running.

I haven't used an any kind of additives while maintaining vehicles for nearly 40 years. Never had the need. Never had an engine wear problem. Never had a mileage problem. Maybe I'm blessed.

If you use a good quality synthetic oil and filter then there should be no need for additives.
