2013 Brakes FIXED!!!
not the new brakes? though double piston for fronts? and rears?
I have the SXT plus with 17" wheels and they are dual pistons on front but the back looks the same to me as before. I had 2008 before so I know what they look like. My 2008 was a SE model with 16" wheels. Today I tried to install my snow tires from the 2008 model which are 16" and they will not go on over the bigger brake system. This is a big bummer becuase I only bought these new wheels and tires last year. Im going to try and find out if there is a different 16" wheel I can use that will still work. Anyone know if there is?

Does anyone have the official story on what 2013 models have the upgraded brakes? I'm strongly considering a 2013 and really want to be sure I get the better brakes. I was leaning toward a lower trim level, but this factor alone could make moving up attractive if that's what it takes.
I'm not so happy with the idea of twin piston brakes....past experience demonstrated that very often one of the piston takes all the load and the other eventually gets frozen in place...leading to unequal pad wear and eventually very poor braking efficiency...eh..Volvo at a time came with FOUR piston calipers...leading to 3 blocked pistons
..and my son's Grand Prix...(or was it his Z34??)..anyway.. had twin pistons, one working, one frozen......so...I'm just questioning the move
, not condemning..
..what is your perception ?

I have the lesser '13 SE model with 5,000 miles. All of the '13s have the larger rotors front and rear. Thus far, no sign of warpage...great brakes. Previously had an '07 Chrysler 300 that had a slight brake flutter from day1. I doubt that the twin piston caliper would suffer freeze ups until age and weather exposure have an effect over many years.
