Default 2013 Brakes FIXED!!!

I just read something fantastic....according to the article, the 2013 Grand Caravan will have a dual piston front caliper and a larger rear rotor. According to the tests the article states this has resolved the issue of warped rotors every 7-8000.

Can anyone in the know confirm this? If this new system proves to be true...is it possible dodge will issue a TSB or Recall to update the 2011 or other 5th gen models?

Yes, it is true. I've seen them on 2012 Caravan.
and NO, there will be no Recall or TSB to update older vans. If you want it to be upgraded, you probably have to pay out of u pocket.

Any idea if it actually did indeed fix the issue? I had heard the 2011's were fixed but alas, not true. I am keeping my fingers crossed. depending on cost, it may be worth it to have them put on

I would say yes, because the part number on the steering knuckle and the hub bearing is the same. Only change are the backing plate, rotor, and caliper, and pad/mounting bracket
Altho I am not sure if a 16 inch rim will clear the bigger rotors... Haven't seen a 2013 with a 16" rim yet.

I will have to call the dealer tomorrow
I am hopefully it will fit on 16". Although I don't feel I should have to spend big bucks for the brakes to work properly..

Default 2012 has 16" rims

FYI - My 2012 Caravan SXT has 16" stock rims and apparently the fixed brakes, just ordered a set of 16" steel and winter tires from tire rack and they cleared also
