What engine do you have? 2.4 it is bolted to the drivers side of the head. 3.3 and 3.8 are bolted to the front head.

It's the 3.3, is it located over the alternator.

Yes. There is a metal tube that runs from it to the top of the intake.

Map sensor. Are you getting a check engine light? When you say revving problems is it an erratic idle or won't rev or?

It revs up and down all the time while at an idle. It's not a steady rhythm it varies, it gets fast then slows down. when you put it in gear it idles up high and you have to press the breaks really hard to keep it from moving. While driving it will maintain a steady speed for a minute or so then slowly slow down unless I push on the breaks. At times when at a steady speed it'll bog down for and I have to push the gas pedal to make it run right.

If I remember right it's a powertrain control module internal malfunction and I think one is for a vac leak, but I can't remember for sure on the vac leak one. It has a small crack in the evap canister. Back in 05 it was in the shop for 5 weeks. The mechanic found the leak and said it wouldn't hurt it but they couldn't fix it. They had to change a bunch of stuff on it to get it to run. They changed an o2 sensor, cat converter, the map sensor 4 times then hard wired it per the dodge manufacture.

Vacuum leak would be my first guess. If the evap canister is leaking that'd be a good place to start. Both of those codes seem to be related to a failed pcm or possibly wiring.

If I read that right the map sensor is hard wired? Possibly throwing the codes or frying the pcm. I'm interested that the "manufacturer" suggested hard wiring the map.

The guy that worked on the van was the shop manager for a dodge dealership. He said they called the manufacture to see if they coul help and they said to do it. Ill check the wiring for the PCM to make sure there's no bad connection. Is there any way to check the PCM. I traced the vac lines the best I could and found 3 short peices of rubber hose that was severely dry rotted and changed them but that didn't help.
