Dash Displays E CodE E 400.1 2002 GC Sport
First time going after codes. Still not sure if this is the only way. I hear about doing three key switch cycles to the on position and wait. I have none showing by default. Will they display on their own if there is an issue?
You guys tell me.
This is a method I think I read from a Tizzy post.
I held the trip meter reset button in until I got the "SoF 4.1" in the display and let go.
Then I got "E CodE E 400.1".
Then "End" and the cluster went through a bunch of checks or calibrations of the Speedo and tach and cycled all the info icons. Looked Christmas like.
2002 Grand Caravan Sport.
EDIT! = I did the three key method and got a P1684. I see in the 2008 to 2010 Sticky its a battery has been disconnected in the last 50 starts which is accurate. I guess its the same for my 2002?
So lucky me eh?

Both issues could have been caused by the same occurance. The first item is the cluster self test. Code 400.1 is Improper power down detected. The P code is PCM or TCM, the P1684 is a TCM code for battery being disconnected. So if it was disconnected with the key on, it could give both codes. Neither of which I would worry about by the way.
