Engine won't go over 2500rpm after repair
Hi, I repaired the wiring harness that goes under the exhaust manifold near the battery in my 2004 Dodge Grand Caravan. This part of the harness goes to the 6 injectors and knock sensor. The engine will start and idle great now, but the rev limiter kicks in at 2500rpm or so. The rest of the wiring harness looks ok from the outside, but now I am thinking there may be a broken wire inside the loom....any one else run into this?
That I'm not sure, Have you tried disconnecting the battery for 30sec to reset the computer? I if that doen't wait till one of the guy's here that IS an dodge tech to point you in the proper dirction(can't remember his name but the picture of his sig is the dodge viper v10 engine.
You have no check engine light? Also have you tried this with it in gear or are you still in the driveway? On some vehicles the rev limiter is fairly low with the transmission in park or neutral.
It does it all the time.....no matter if you are in drive or not.....Thats why I was thinking maybe there is a switch that tells the computer you are in park or in drive that may be malfunctioning......

With those codes did you look those up to see what they are. In the main menu screen for the threads there is a section for the mil(check engine codes) cause it looks like either you have major electrical problem or problems with a few sensors. I would trace those down one at a time. Do you have a multi meter? You'll need to test for continuity those those wires!
