02 Grand Caravan 3.8L salvage rebuild project

Parts and paint should be comfortably below current resale value. If he had a body hop do the labor it would have pushed it over the limit for value.
Only reason I said to scrap it the first time was the broken PCM connector. The rest was a matter of unbolting the bad and bolting in the good.
Besides that, I too hate buying new vehicles when you have one and you already know everything that is wrong with it. I don't think I'd even buy anything newer than 07 as the 08+ seem to have too many growing pains.

I want to replace my bumper covers. My rear has a bad spot and my front is pitted and scratched.
I clay barred and waxed mine recently and the paint is in amazingly good shape. So much so it justifies me to bring the bumper covers up to that level.
Can you tell me about the brackets that are different on the Fog lighted one compared to the non? And what you had to do to make it work? Or are the brackets add ons that may be available at a salvage yard?
How did you tie in the fog lamps?
I would love the info on where you got the bumper and if you got iy painted what to expect for costs?
