If the torque converter is bad can....
My transmission front pump is pumping transmission fluid but there is no movement when I put is in gear. Thought that my brake calipers were stuck but they're not. Is it possible for the torque converter to be bad but the pump to pump fluid?
I have a 3 speed. I unhook the return line coming from the radiator and put it in a water jug. I cranked it and let it run for 15 seconds and like a quart was in the jug. I recently raplace my radiator because coolant was getting in my trans oil. I drained it and changed the filter and flushed the rest out. I put it in gear and it jerks but it want move. I raised the front tires off the ground and put it in drive and the tires rolled but not fast when I give it gas.
Well the coolant that got into the transmission has wash the clutch material and cause the transmission not to move when you put it into gear. You will need to perform a tear down and inspect. Or get a price on a reman transmission.
