1999 Dodge Caravan starting problems
I have a 1999 Dodge Caravan that is hard to start, you have to press gas pedal about 1/4 throttle to start. I hear it can be crank sensor, fuel pump, fuel filter, or broken fuel lines. It runs great after it is started. It's my daughters van and she is going to college in fall and i want to get it running in tip top shape for her. She said that she paid someone to put a fuel pump and fuel filter on, i gotta check and see for myself. I will go to autozone and borrow fuel pressure checker, what should fuel pressure be? Any other suggestions would be appreciated. The air filter is new, i am gonna put a tune-up on it all. Thank you in advance.
Fuel pressure should be 49 psi on a 3rd generation van - yours. I'll second the TB cleaning. Open the throttle plate and clean the area behind it. That's where the IAC orifice opens to let air bypass the throttle plate.

Splitting a few hairs but what Tizzy1 was saying in post #4 is you are having to open the throttle to get air BECAUSE the IAC bypass orifice in the throttle body may be clogged. Didn't need the word "not".
The check engine light isnt on, i just took it for recall last week for the clock wire recall, the horn and cruise control stopped working and airbag light stayed on but all good now, im gonna try cleaning like you all said
