detroiter fed up with dodge
Let me preface my comments by stating that I grew up in Windsor,Canada where the caravan is built and keeps many of my former schoolmates employed. I now live in a suburb of Detroit (across the river from Windsor) and the Mopar world headquarters is literally down the street from my house. If anybody should be an advocate of dodge it should be me.
However, my 2013 Grand Caravan with 2400 miles on it is very disappointing. The engine runs extremely rough with RPM's dropping and rising inconsistently, vibrating the whole car. The Chrysler dealer has twice stated that this is normal. (for Chrysler and the Big 3, I guess). It is has a good interior, layout, speakers etc. but is an engineering flop.
My work car is a Hyundai Elantra. Living in Michigan, I have access to any big three auto discount since nearly everyone here knows someone working in the big 3. I drove most every car when buying my work car and the Hyundai was a generation (or two) ahead. Try driving one (Hyundai) and then try saying I am wrong.
Without tariffs and frivolous government fines against Hyundai they would put the Big three under within a decade, I believe. I don't think I would ever consider purchasing another union built car. I just wish Hyundai would build something bigger.

My down the road neighbour had a 2011 Kia Sedona, trans went out at 7200km, they put a new one in for him under warranty, only to have the one they put in be bad also...they bought back the van and he is in a 2012 Kia Sedona now, it has been trouble free.
Sounds like this guy got one of the vans built during lunch break at the plant, I would just talk to Chrysler, tell them whats going on eh?
